Camp Out! towels for my outdoors-y brother and RV-ing parents. Sublime Stitching has some of the coolest designs, and I loved embroidering these.

A 20" pillow cover for a friend who loves AMH's Drawing Room as much as I do. I used the last of my velveteen rick rack for trim and Kaffe Fassett's grey and brown dots on the back.

2008 was a year of more creative production than ever for me. Giving handmade gifts this year was extremely gratifying. I can still remember my hesitancy to start this blog/creative journal back in February, but I am so glad I took the plunge. It and YOU, Crafting Community, have kept me motivated, been great sources of reflection and pushed me out of my comfort zone. So, thanks for a great 2008! And many happy creative wishes for 2009.
On my plate in '09: learning to knit, quilting and catching up on my Dear Baby Jane project.

those tea towels rock my socks. Well done! Her roller derby patterns are on my to-buy list right now.
those sublime stitching patterns are so great. wish i was better at embroidery.
Great tea towels! I adore the one with the little Airstream camper!
i heart every single thing about those dishtowels!!!
the towels are just like all the ones my mom and i treasure from my great-grandmother. mom uses hers and i have mine packed away for keepsakes. if i was better at embroidery, i'd make some to use.
