The pillow

Inspired by Last Minute Patchwork + Quilted Gifts. I used the Printed Treasures sheets recommended by my local quilt shop this time. The material was somewhat stiff to push my large embroidery needle through, but much easier to work with and has a finer hand than the June Tailor sheets. EQ Printables are still on my list to try.
Lastly, a word about the big series of miracles that ended my week as I was one of many eyewitnesses to the plane crash on the Hudson River. I am so, so thankful to God that everyone survived. It puts a lot of things into perspective about how life can change instantaneously and what really matters. It also proves how everyday people can do extraordinary things when called. I hope that your life is inspired by little and big miracles, too.

Beautiful gifts. So glad to hear the bub is doing so well and home already!
And yes, thank the powers that be for that wonderful landing on the Hudson - it was huge news here in Australia too.
Very cool baby quilt. I really like that they interlock and it adds interest.
Beautiful baby quilt. Sounds like a very well loved and quite lucky little sweetie.
You sure have had quite a week. Must have been truly surreal to see that plane go down in the Hudson. A miracle for sure.

Hey, I just bought the Printed Treasures yesterday so that I could make the same project! ( just picked up Last minute patchwork!) Thanks for the tips about the needle!
So sorry that you had to witness the plane crash, but in a way, what an inspiring and momentous thing to have seen. I'm sure it was life prioritizing for you.... just seeing it on the news here put everything into perspective here. Watchiing the pilot's interview on 60 minutes was pretty incredible as well. Take care...
I love the pillow! What a great idea.
